Common Management Aptitude Test (CMAT) is a national level computer based exam conducted by AICTE every year. This exam is conducted by AICTE all over the country in order to bring out merit students to provide admissions into various post graduate management courses into 400 Business schools in the country. Candidates will need to pass in the exam and should have good management skills and be good at aptitude. The shortlisted candidates from CMAT exam will be given admissions into various Business schools of the country depending on the rank they attained in the exam. CMAT is a very prestigious exam conducted by AICTE every year. Aspirants who are willing to do post graduation will take this exam very seriously and give their best shot to it.

Approximately 400 business schools take part in providing admissions into various management courses to the students of the country. The official notification for CMAT exam 2017 is yet to be released by the AICTE. It is expected that AICTE will release the official notification of CMAT 2017 in the month of October this year. Many aspirants who are willing to do post graduation in various management courses are avidly waiting for the release of the notification from AICTE. As soon as the notification is released the online application commencement start and it is expected that the application commencing will start from first week of November this year. Last year approximately 72000 candidates have appeared for CMAT exam from different parts of the country. It is too obvious that this year the number will see a great increase as most of the students who have completed their graduation are looking to complete their post graduation and many of them are choosing management courses to do their post graduation. CMAT 2017 exam is expected to be held in second week of January 2017.

All India Council for Technical Education is the statutory body that monitors and administers standardize technical education and management system in India. It is mandatory for any college who runs University affiliated Engineering or Management Degree to get the approval from AICTE. The council is headquartered in New Delhi with its regions offices in Bhopal, Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chandigarh, Kanpur, Guwahati, and Gurgaon.
CMAT Eligibility Criteria 2017
AICTE every year conducts CMAT exam for the students of the country to provide admissions into various management courses into various business schools in India. Candidates who are applying for the CMAT exam conducted by AICTE need to satisfy the eligibility criteria set by AICTE. Candidates who lack in any of the eligibility criteria set by AICTE should not apply for the exam. This year it is expected that AICTE will not change the eligibility criteria and will follow the same eligibility criteria as that of previous years. Candidates, who apply for the exam without satisfying the eligibility criteria, will be disqualified by the authority board.
- Candidates should be an Indian Citizen and can apply for the test irrespective of his or her age.
- He/she must have a graduation degree in any discipline from any recognized university or board.
- Final year pursuing students of graduation courses whose result will be declared before commencement of admissions for the academic year 2017-18 are also eligible to apply for the exam.

CMAT Application fee 2017 : CMAT Exam Fee 2017
The application fee is not the same for all the category students. It varies from category to category. Candidates who are appearing for the exam should pay the application fee depending on the category they belong to. Candidates need to pay the application fee through online or can pay it through challan from any SBI branch.
For general category candidates the application fee is Rs. 1400/-
For reserved category candidates the application fee is Rs. 700/-
CMAT Application Form 2017
As we said earlier, CMAT application forms will be made available from 1st week of November in the official site of AICTE. Candidates who are eligible to take the exam can apply for the exam by visiting the official site and by filling the application forms available there. Applicants must fill the application forms with appropriate details. They need to check the eligibility criteria clearly before applying for the exam to avoid later hassles. Students are advised to go through the official notification released by AICTE before doing any of these things. Candidates first need to register with AICTE before applying for the exam. AICTE will issue the admit cards for the students soon before the exam date. Students need to download it from the official site of AICTE beforehand as it is mandatory to carry admit cards to the exam hall.
